April 6 @ 9:30 pm

9:30pm – Close – Aaron Yealdhall is a quiet guy expressing himself via graphic arts and music. Skribe is his musical outlet, whether in his usual solo performances or as a duo or quintet. With two CDs under Skribe’s belt, including the most recent, “Postcards,” Yealdhall keeps on making it happen.  He calls it “garage folk” with a nod to the early influences of John Prine, Steve Earle, Tom Waits and more mixed with later no frills acts like Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine and the Deftones. You may have recently seen Skribe supporting G. Love & Special Sauce, Darius Rucker, Jon Cleary, Lucy Dacus, Jake Clemons (of the E Street Band), Patrick Sweaney, Langhorne Slim, Lydia Loveless, Shovels & Rope, Samantha Fish, Grizfolk, Joe Pug, The Last Bandoleros, Zach Deputy, Suitcase Junket, and Possessed by Paul James. Skribe plays an oil can called a canjo-zookie. It’s an eight-string guitar with a biting, blues-y rasp. Skribe’s got the voice (and the old-school Cadillac) to match. Accompanying himself on the suitcase-kick and hi-hat, Skribe’s “M.I.Y.” is a barn-burning roots number. – Ben Naddaff-Hafrey NPR 2020 Baltimore Alternative Music Award – Best Packaging for the Birdwatching 7″   VIDEO – Skribe (one-man band) plays in front of a 900lb Jack-o’-lantern.
